Meet Vanessa Davis, Founder
Vanessa Davis had long been a lover and advocate of dogs and all animals. When the opportunity came to change her long-time career, she jumped. Through much research and inspired by Taylor, her golden retriever, she designed, created and opened Dirty Dogs Spa in Wake Forest, NC on March 1, 2012. With the business growing and the need to expand, she opened Dirty Dogs Spa in North Raleigh located on Creedmoor Road(2021) and Dirty Dogs Spa in Wendell Fall (2023). Since opening in 2012, we have numerous awards in The Wake Weekly’s annual Best of the Best. Best Pet Groomer (2012-2023), Best Corporate Citizen (Winner 2012 and Finalist 2020 & 2021), Best Pet Store (2013-2015), Best Small Business – North Wake (2021), Person who Best Represents Wake County (2020), Wake Livings Best Pet Groomer 2020-2024 and Midtown Magazine (2022-2024)
Vanessa is a certified groomer and adjunct instructor at Wake Technical Community College, teaching classes for those wanting to become professional groomers. She is certified in Pet Skincare and Canine Massage. These skills are reflected by Dirty Dogs’ specialized and natural products. She and the Dirty Dogs staff are certified in Fear Free, Pet CPR, and First Aid.
